H. Otley Beyer was collecting material for Harvard in the Philippines in the 1920s and some pieces remained in his family. This piece was bought from Henry Beyer II, who is Otley's grandson, and so is thought to have been collected by H. Otley Beyer. Franklins purchased from Tom Murray, Mill Valley, CA, in 1996 (Franklin #9625)
