According to John Fairman of Honeychurch Antiques, Seattle, WA, he bought it at auction in Niigata(North of Tokyo), Japan in the early 1980s and exported it legally to the US; purchased by Patrick and Darle Maveety, Palo Alto, CA from Honeychurch Antiques about 15 years ago, he does not remember the exact date.
