Welcome to the Cantor Arts Center collections database, which allows you to search the permanent collection of more than 40,000 works of art. The Center's online database aims to provide users with direct access to information from our collection records. As an ongoing project, curatorial, collections management, and project staff add new records and images to the database on a regular basis. Much of the information in the database has come directly from historic documents and may not have been vetted by current museum staff. Therefore, the information provided herein needs to be read with care. Users can search the entire collection or browse art works currently on view or a pre-selected from the Center's main collection areas. Search results can be displayed in various views with different levels of complexity and printed or saved as PDF files.Digitization Project
The Cantor Arts Center is in the process of capturing new digital images of all 40,000+ works in its collection. Since this Digitization Project will take several years to complete, we are making each image available here on the Cantor collections database as soon as it is taken.
During July and August, many of the sculptures by Auguste Rodin will be removed from display so that they may be photographed as part of the Project. Thank you for your patience while these sculptures are off display. Please visit our browse page to see the list of art works currently on view.
